Doing nothing.

Sometimes the hardest thing to do in life is to do nothing. We have to let people make their own mistakes and learn their own lessons because it won't be meaningful any other way. Then there are times when you are watching a loved one being in physical pain or mental distress, hurting because of a break up or just struggling and all you can offer is support and healing. There are other times though when we need to do nothing ourselves for ourselves. We don't always need to answer back. We don't always need to be there for everyone else. We don't always have to be a perfect housekeeper. Sometimes what we need is time to sit and listen and do nothing else. The listening can be to the sounds of nature outside, or the sound of silence or our breathing. Just a few moments in which we can stop, remember we are spirit, to exist in that moment outside of your body, to leave earthly worries behind and breathe is really important. Doing nothing matters.
